WHAT IS AN MBP?

An MBP (Master Balloon Professional) is an expert in the art of balloon decoration, recognized and certified by Sempertex. This title is awarded to professionals who have successfully completed the Sempertex recognition program, proving their skills and compliance with the high standards established by the company in balloon decoration.

Our evaluation process

The practical exam involves the evaluation of the following criteria:

1. Unleash your creativity

You will create two designs, which will be evaluated. Bring your balloons for your creations on the day of the exam, ensuring each design incorporates at least three different sizes of Sempertex balloons. During the evaluation, each participant will present their designs, explaining the theme and potential applications in an event.

• Table centerpieces (Maximum score: 15 points)
• Personal design (Maximum score: 15 points)

Total time allotted for creation: Maximum 1 hour

*Evaluation points: 30 points in total

2. Decoration challenge chosen by the judges

In this challenge, you will need to create balloon designs in real-time using balloons provided by Sempertex.

• Column of 5 or 6 balloon clusters (Maximum score: 20 points)
• Design with the Crossweave technique using Link-O-Loon® (Maximum score: 20 points)
• Organic design (Maximum score: 20 points)

Total time allotted for design: Maximum 1.5 hours

*Evaluation points: A total of 60 points will be awarded for designs.

3. Mastery of balloon tools

Your skill in handling essential tools such as the inflator, gauge, valve, balloon sizers, and helium tanks will be evaluated. Demonstrate your understanding of their proper use and safety protocols.

*Evaluation points: A total of 10 points will be awarded.

It is essential to arrive 30 minutes before the exam.

The jury evaluates based on the standards set by Sempertex.

To receive the recognition, the participant must pass the exam with a minimum of 85 points.
