OUR BALLOONS

Sempertex® balloons are made from natural latex sourced from the rubber tree. They contain no TMTD, plasticizers, fillers, or cost-reducing additives.

Sempertex® has renewed its ISO 14001:2015 certification for environmental management, demonstrating their adoption of a sustainable development culture. This standard highlights the rational use of resources to prevent pollution and protect the environment.

• Energy: From 2023 onwards, 100% of the energy comes from certified renewable sources, with actions being implemented to reduce energy consumption.
• Water: Optimization of process designs to ensure efficient use of water. 100% of the water used in production is treated in a specialized treatment plant.
• Safe Inks: Use of inks that comply with legal and health standards to ensure completely safe products, including for children's toys.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT OF THE SUPPLY CHAIN

Sempertex® ensures the monitoring of its supply chain, prioritizing responsible management of rubber plantations. Their ambition is to promote reforestation, protect natural ecosystems, and ensure social responsibility. Through training and awareness programs, they encourage their partners to adopt environmentally friendly behaviors.

Results and Impact in 2023

• The audit for FSC® certification of the natural latex supply chain was successfully passed, ensuring responsible management of rubber plantations.
• Starting in 2024, Sempertex® commits to sourcing only from FSC® certified suppliers, ensuring final products meet strict environmental standards.
• 100% of their critical suppliers are selected based on quality, environmental management, and health and safety at work criteria. They have visited 13% of these suppliers to verify their compliance.
